Drug Safety Pilot Program

Help create a drug safety program that counsels patients on their drug needs at time of discharge from the hospital.

How it’d work: Use software analytics from SafeMed to ensure that patients know their pharmaceutical options at the time of discharge from a hospital. Equip pilot hospital’s discharge services with capabilities to inform patients if the drugs prescribed to them are on their plan’s formulary, and what options they have (one drug vs. other, branded vs. generics, etc.) if the drugs are not on the formulary. This will help cases where patients realize after discharge that the prescribed drugs are not on their plan’s formulary and do not have timely help from experts about alternate options.
