Reward insurance companies and companies, who develop wellness programs and who support employee's good choices like diet programs and physical fittness programs.
I had a pacemaker/defibulator put in, but though overweight, and at risk, I don't qualify for our hospital's excellent cardiac rehab program. My insurance company paid $79000. for my surgery, but won't pay $300. for a gym membership. Our state welfare system, pays for clients to attend weight watchers for three months, recognizing that poor health is a barrier to good health and employemnt. Unfortunately, my company and my insurance company arent' that evolved.
