No Senior Left Alone
Seniors, who may have lost their spouse, may go into a depression which can intern affect their health. What if Humana offered a program for its members that would allow volunteers to visit our Seniors at home or at a meeting place (with several Seniors) with a child (they would be their adopted grandchild for the day) to play cards, have tea, play chess, video games or do whatever they both enjoyed doing. Questionnaires would be performed to ensure each participant is compatible with one another. Also, if our senior would elect to have an animal to visit, we could work out an arrangement with the Humane Society so that the dog, cat, etc could visit the senior so that the animal could provide them with love and affection. Some seniors may be in a position to care for the animal and ultimately adopt one which may encourage them to get out and take the animal for a walk. Should this happen, Pedigree or Iams should donate a one year supply of food for that animal. Because our senior would have that animal depending on them for their daily nourishments, they would have a reason to get up everyday. Thank you for taking the time to read my idea.
