Affordable Healthcare model for EVERYONE!!

My idea is an assimilation of two of my experiences ... I worked in Medicare at Humana. We work with individual states (along with other private insurance groups) to deliver administrative and affordable healthcare cost for individuals. The individual states subsidize these plans for their Medicare members.

Secondly, I have a High Deductible Health plan that has a HSA (Health Savings Account.) I have a smaller premium, I pay the negotiated rate on the Explanation of Benefits with my HSA. (What we pay, what you pay, ... ) and I have a tax-free health savings account that I use to pay that with.

What this means is, I pay about 1/4 of the premium we paid with a standard PPO. I put the tax-free difference in the HSA, which is now our savings account, and once we reach a certain dollar amount, we can choose to roll over the extra in an IRA, ... or other tax free investment.

My idea, how about we have group plans state by state, based on the Medicare system, and individuals pay into Health Savings ... driving consumerism. [Ridding our Medicaid costs of emergency rooms visits for colds that could have seen a doctor ... that hog up the emergency rooms with NON-emergency visits.] Instead, Medicaid individuals would have a set amount to use in consumer smart way ...

This has changed our family's world. It is making our family stand up and take notice of provider charges, what medicines we are taking ... Ad this sort of healthcare could make it affordable for many others.

This plan covers necessary expenses like immunizations, school physicals, routing necessary services at 100% ... and once we would happen (and I have not come CLOSE in two healthcare seasons) to hit our deductible, everything is covered at 100%.

I am saying, let’s drive the Medicare subsidy model, HSA with High Deductible Healthcare plans together to make healthcare affordable for all individuals.

Legitimately, we are loosing large manufacturing and large industries to overseas; our focus on the future economy is smaller and newer businesses. How are we going to make healthcare affordable for these new smaller companies?

This is a whole picture situation that we need to address RIGHT NOW!!
